Instrumental Lessons

One-to-one lessons are available both in person, or online via platforms such as Zoom.  Revision recordings are made available after each lesson, as well as charts, exercises and recording at a range of speeds to practice with at home.

Current Rates

Rates for one-to-one lessons online or in-person are currently £22 per half hour/£38 per hour, with discounts available for multiple bookings.

Group Workshops

A wide range of group workshops are available for festivals, groups and workshop days. As well as delivering any of those listed below, I can also work with your festival or group to create a session specifically to meet your requirements. 

Past clients for workshops such as these include The Sidmouth Folk Week, Broadstairs Folk Festival, The East Anglian Traditional Music Trust’s More Than Melodeons, and White Horse Folk Festival. 

Mr Jackson’s Delight: Traditional Dance Music from Lincolnshire

A repertoire workshop for mixed instruments planing in the keys of D and G, a chance to learn traditional Lincolnshire dance tunes from manuscript sources. The workshop is taught by ear, with notation provided to take home.

One Row Melodeon in the English Style

A workshop focusing on technique and style through traditional tunes. The workshop can be primarily taught in either C, D, G or A. Ideal for one-row, two-bass boxes, such as Hohner HA114, Wesson Clipper, Castagnari Max. 

Workshops for Schools

Group sessions are also available for primary schools. I have Enhanced DBS and regularly run workshops   including:
