To open the 2017-18 concert season the orchestra, under the baton of Robert Guy, will perform a new work: Nick Simpson’s Concerto for Piano (soloist, Teleri Sian), together with the first modern performance of William Herschel’s Symphonia I (completed in 1762). The concert opens with Weber’s popular overture, Oberon, and in celebration of their 20th season, the Orchestra will repeat the performance of one of the items from their very first concert at Square Chapel – Mozart’s Symphony No 39.
